Sunwah has invested in Vietnam for almost 50 years. It started its seafood processing business in 1970. The Group operated three seafood processing plants in Saigon, Nha Trang and Kien Giang, and was one of the biggest seafood exporters in Vietnam. In 1989, when Vietnam announced its Open Door Policy, Sunwah was one of the first companies to set up a representative office in Ho Chi Minh City. Today, the Group still operates seafood processing and trading in Vietnam.
In the 1990s, Sunwah is actively involved in property development in Vietnam. In 1997, the Sunwah Tower was launched, featuring a first class 22-storey office block situated at the heart of CBD in HCMC. At present, the Building is fully occupied with prestigious international tenants, and has become a landmark of the City.
In 2004, Sunwah further developed the Saigon Pearl project, a luxury residential, business, shopping and entertainment development which consisted six twin apartment towers. Elegantly stand out by the Saigon River, Saigon Pearl introduces high-rise quality living to the local people.
Sunwah’s latest development project Sunwah Pearl,is a high-end multi-purpose development consisting of luxury apartments, office spaces and a commercial centre. The new project is scheduled for completion in 2019, will surely be another iconic landmark in HCMC.
